ACSSJ Welcomes Nazareth University as Newest Member
The Association of Colleges of Sisters of St. Joseph (ACSSJ) is delighted to announce that Nazareth University in Rochester, New York, has joined the association.
Founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1924, Nazareth University shares ACSSJ’s commitment to articulate and further the contemporary expression of the educational mission and legacy of the Sisters of Saint Joseph. Its membership strengthens the association’s current national network of seven institutions from across the United States.

Nazareth University was founded by five Sisters of St. Joseph of Rochester, who welcomed the institution’s first class of 25 women in 1924. More than a century later, Nazareth continues to honor its founders' vision through an educational experience grounded in intellectual inquiry, experiential learning, service, inclusion, and engagement with the wider world. Today, the university offers more than 60 undergraduate majors, along with graduate degrees and certificate programs.
Through its ACSSJ membership, Nazareth students, faculty, staff, and administrators will have access to collaborative opportunities across member institutions, including professional communities of practice, faculty and staff development, academic partnerships, shared programming, student exchange opportunities, and mission-centered resources. President Maureen Finney, who began her presidency on July 1, 2026, will represent Nazareth University on the ACSSJ Board of Directors. |

CSSJ High School Breakfast & Information Session
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8, 8-9:30am The Association of Colleges of Sisters of St. Joseph, St. Catherine University, and the Vice Presidents of Enrollment Management from member campuses invites high school counselors from CSSJ high schools to attend a breakfast and information session to learn more about the Association of Colleges of Sisters of St. Joseph member colleges, as well as a short campus tour at St. Catherine University.
This event is held in conjunction with the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) Conference in Minneapolis, October 8-10, 2026. |
